The integration of a 400G pluggable with a controller allows for centralized management and dynamic control. We conducted two iterations, both with Ciena and Juniper, with different pluggable combinations. In the first run, Ciena provided the controller and a network node with the pluggable in it, and Juniper provided a second network node and the pluggable. In the second run, Juniper provided a network node, while Ciena provided the controller and a network node and the pluggable in both network nodes.
The test steps include:

• Establishing NETCONF sessions between the controller and both network nodes
• Configure the operational mode, TX power, and wavelength central frequency of the optical pluggable
• Ensure that the configuration is applied successfully by checking the pluggable parameters 
• Create an end-to-end optical service across the optical pluggable
