SRv6 µSID Topology Discovery and Visualization by a PCE
SRv6 µSIDs enable compact, scalable service programming, but their correct use in a controller-based environment depends on accurate topology information. For reliable end-to-end path validation, the controller must correctly learn and interpret SRv6-specific attributes such as adjacency SIDs, endpoint behaviors, and C-SID structure parameters.
In this test, we verified SRv6 µSID discovery using BGP-LS in a multi-vendor environment. We validated that IS-IS SR extensions for SRv6 were correctly exported by routers and parsed and applied by the centralized controller.
BGP-LS sessions between the controller and network nodes were successfully established. The controller received SRv6 capability information, including End.X adjacency SIDs with their SID values and endpoint behaviors.
Compressed SID (C-SID) structure parameters were correctly advertised and received. SRv6 adjacency SIDs were correctly associated with their respective links in the topology database.
