Flexible Algorithm Discovery and Visualization by a PCE
Centralized controllers rely on accurate Flex-Algo topology information to optimize traffic engineering across diverse topologies and constraints.
In this test, we verified Flex-Algo discovery using BGP-LS in a multi-vendor environment. We validated that IS-IS Flexible Algorithm extensions were correctly exported by routers and correctly parsed and applied by the centralized controller.
BGP-LS sessions between the controller and network nodes were successfully established. The controller received IS-IS Level 2 topology data and built a network topology database from the advertised node and link attributes.
The controller discovered multiple algorithm definitions, including Flex-Algo identifiers, associated metric types, and constraint attributes.
