MPLS SDN Interoperability Test

Version 17.1 by Laura Sergi on 2023/09/29 11:53

We are excited to announce EANTC's next Multi-Vendor Interoperability Test 2024 in collaboration with Upperside Conferences.

The 2024 test event will cover 5G transport networks implemented in mobile network fronthaul and backhaul, end-to-end transport network slicing, traffic engineering, and packet network synchronization. We will verify private cloud networking and service assurance. Multiple transport domains such as WAN, data centers, metro edge, and microwave solutions will also be integrated. EANTC will focus on validating network stability solutions and implementation efficiency, which includes IP/Optical convergence and SRv6 Flex-Algo.

We will help the industry to deliver innovative and enhanced services by utilizing AI and ML and accelerate deployment by using Open RAN setups and network automation. The technical test areas will be divided into Segment Routing, SDN and closed-loop network automation, Time Synchronization, and EVPN.

The testing will take place in February 2024 in Berlin. The test results will be published and presented live at the Paris Congress from April 9-11, 2024.

EANTC's showcase is a well-established event beneficial for small and large vendors alike. EANTC as an independent party creates an ecosystem to conduct testing in the most advanced application scenarios addressing service providers’ needs. We exhibit a tangible, lab-validated network showcasing mature as well as the latest advances in different technology areas.

Benefits of Participation

EANTC’s interoperability reports are respected by service providers, raising customer awareness of the state of implementation for innovative network concepts. We describe use case scenarios and design blueprints that service providers can adopt for their network designs. Our reports have helped to kick off network innovation projects, to fulfill RFP requirements with regard to interoperability, and to avoid individual PoCs covering similar technical questions. The initiative provides a unique opportunity to test and troubleshoot interoperability with third-party vendors in a friendly pre-production environment. Participating in the test event improves quality and reduces implementation time in customer projects.

Marketing and Publication

The results of this interoperability event will be marketed:

  • Test Report - extensive, detailed description of all use cases, test setups and results (positive results by vendor/solution name, negative results anonymously as "state of the industry"). It will be available free of charge on our website and will be distributed on the first day of the conference in Paris
  • Live demos - live demonstrations by participants and EANTC representatives at the EANTC showcase booth in Paris
  • Press releases - by EANTC and participating vendors
  • Social Media (LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube)
  • EANTC Newsletter

We hope that this initiative is beneficial to you and look forward to your participation!
