7 The EVPN IP Prefix Route (Route Type 5) used for Layer 3 and inter-subnet connectivity within an EVPN deployment.
8 To validate the functionality of the EVPN IP Prefix Route (Route Type 5) , we examined BGP EVPN route attributes to confirm that IPv4 and IPv6 prefixes were correctly learned and advertised via EVPN RT5. We then verified that the VRF routing tables on the PEs with RT5 prefixes were correctly installed and using SRv6 Service SIDs as next-hops. We also checked the forwarding table (FIB) to ensure SRv6-based encapsulation was applied, confirming proper route propagation and reachability.
9 We have tested EVPN Route Type 5 (RT-5) with different SRv6 endpoint behavior types, including UDT4, UDT6, and UDT46, as shown in the following tables.
