EVPN Route Type 5 (RT-5) is used to advertise IP prefix reachability for Layer 3 services within an EVPN instance. It allows IP routing information to be exchanged through the EVPN control plane instead of using traditional VPNv4 or VPNv6 routes. |
8 |
After confirming route installation and SRv6 resolution, we generated bidirectional traffic between the service prefixes for both IPv4 and IPv6, and we observed correct forwarding with no packet loss. |
