High-capacity 400G ZR pluggables are increasingly used to interconnect routers directly over DWDM infrastructure without dedicated transponders. We validated the basic interoperability of 400G ZR optical pluggables between ZTE and Ciena. We connected a ZTE ZXR10 M6000-4SE system to a Ciena 8192 system using 400G ZR optics and verified that the physical link came up cleanly on both ends. After the link was established, we also confirmed that the configured IS-IS adjacency is up. Then we generated bidirectional traffic and confirmed that there is no traffic loss. During the run, we monitored the interface statistics on both devices and did not observe CRC errors or other link error indications, which would suggest optical impairments or interoperability issues. The combination of a stable link-state, a stable IS-IS session, loss-free traffic, and clean error counters confirms correct 400G ZR interworking for this vendor pair in our setup. |
